Masjid Dawah

Masjid Dawah is the largest and oldest Islamic community on the Westside of Chicago. We are a community of believers adhering to the Qur’an & traditions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him). The goal of Masjid Dawah is to promote a proper understanding of Islam that is based on the Qur’an and Sunnah to all residents of the West Side of Chicago. It is our hope that insha’Allah (God-willing), this understanding will foster mutual goodwill within the community as well as remove misconceptions that are perpetuated. Masjid Dawah is the only fully functioning masjid on the West Side, with over 200 people attending Jummah and a significant representation of Black Americans, South Asians, Arabs, and others. With over 30 years of community building, Masjid Dawah is the only masjid in the city that projects the Adhan to the local neighborhood 5 times a day, 7 days a week.
